Behind the Music – Inside BAFTA Games in Concert with the Composers Shaping Gaming’s Most Iconic Soundtracks

What:

Ahead of the UK tour launch on 23 May, BAFTA Games in Concert is offering press a behind-the-scenes look at the creative minds behind some of gaming’s most powerful and recognisable scores.

Featuring exclusive access to composers including Jesper Kyd, Sea Power, Inon Zur and Borislav Slavov, this is an opportunity to explore how video game music has evolved into one of the most emotionally impactful forms of modern storytelling.

Why now:

As conversations around the cultural impact of game music grow – highlighted by recent features like PC Gamer’s mini-documentary “Why Does Video Game Music Matter?” – BAFTA Games in Concert brings that discussion to life on stage.

The concert:

Performed by a full 65-piece orchestra, BAFTA Games in Concert celebrates 20 years of the BAFTA Games Awards, showcasing nominated and award-winning scores synchronised with dynamic visuals, gameplay and imagery.

Audiences will experience exclusive suites from iconic soundtracks, spanning global blockbusters to groundbreaking indie titles – all brought to life in a live concert setting.

Tour launch:

The BAFTA Games in Concert UK tour opens on 23 May 2026, bringing this landmark celebration of game music to audiences across the country.
